Small BusinessThe winner of this award will be the most successful and sustainable local business with between 6 and 19 employees nominated this year.
New BusinessThe winner of this award will be a new Hyndburn business (started trading since Jan 1st 2018) that has been the most successful start-up.
Made in HyndburnThis winner of this award will be a local manufacturing business with a product or process with a ‘wow’ factor that has ensured success.
Customer Friendly BusinessThe winner of this award will be the most customer friendly Hyndburn business nominated this year. We only accept nominations from customers of the business for this award.
MicroBusinessThe winner of this award will be the most successful and sustainable local micro business (1-5 employees) nominated this year. They will have been trading since before January 2018.
Food and Drink BusinessThe winner of this award will be the best local food and/or drink business nominated this year.
Independent RetailerThe winner of this award will be the best independent retailer in Hyndburn. This award is open for those who sell directly to the consumer and/or retail online.
Creative BusinessThe winner of this award will be the most creative business based in Hyndburn. This award is open to any creative business, regardless of how long it has been trading.
Sole TraderThe winner of this award will be a local sole trader or self-employed person. They will have been trading since before January 1st 2018.
Not For Profit AwardThe winner of this award will be a not for profit business, social enterprise or charity that has made significant improvements in the last year (since January 2018).
ApprenticeshipThe winner of this will be the local organisation that has best demonstrated the commitment, contribution and success that apprentices have brought to them.
Pride of HyndburnThe winner of this award will be the individual, group, club or association that has engaged in an activity that has made an outstanding contribution to making Hyndburn a better place to live, work, play or visit.
B2B Business The winner of this award will be the best business that mainly works with other businesses (80% or more of their turnover will be from other businesses).
Health & Beauty Business The winner of this award will be a Hyndburn health and beauty business that is the best nominated this year. The business will have been trading since before January 2018.
Enterprising Woman The winner of this award will be working in her own business or within an organisation. She will be a strong, independent, self-confident leader. She will be an inspiration for other women who may be considering a leadership role or starting or growing their own business.
Evonne Harwood Event of the Year The winner of this award will be the Hyndburn event that was the best that happened in 2018. This could be a one-off or annual event, and could be of any sort, so long as it attracts participants and/or an audience.
